Words From Our Collectors
Words From Our Collectors
The true measure of our benchwork lies in the peace of mind we return to our clients. Read firsthand accounts from those who entrusted us with their most personal timepieces and family treasures.
The local mall repair kiosks wouldn’t touch my grandfather’s 1968 Seamaster—they said parts were impossible to find. Timeless spent three weeks sourcing an original balance wheel and servicing the movement. When I picked it up, it looked like it belonged on a velvet display in 1968, but still kept its original, aged character. Worth every penny.
Brought back my grandfather's 1960s Omega Seamaster
I brought in an 1890s Swiss music box that had been sitting seized in my mother’s attic for forty years. I was terrified someone would over-polish it and ruin the patina. They cleaned the internal comb, replaced a couple of snapped teeth, and preserved every bit of the original antique brass finish. Hearing it play again brought my mom to tears.
Saved a fragile brass music box
I needed a quick battery swap and pressure test for my Tudor before a dive trip to Maine. They had it ready in 24 hours, provided the printed pressure test certificate, and replaced the crown gasket as a precaution. Professional, straightforward, and zero hassle.
Fast, high-end pressure test for my dive watch
I took a deep gouge out of the brushed lug on my Submariner after dropping it on tile. I was sick about it. The team at Timeless managed to pull the gouge out without rounding off the sharp factory edges or flattening the bevels. The satin graining matches the original factory finish identically.
Flawless scratch removal on a Rolex bezel
My dad passed down his railroad pocket watch, but the winding stem was snapped clean off inside the case. Timeless literally hand-machined a replacement part on their lathe because the original manufacturer went out of business 70 years ago. It winds smooth as silk now.
Fixed a heirloom pocket watch with a broken stem
What I appreciated most was that they didn’t try to upsell me on replacing original worn parts that still had life in them. They understood that the scratches on my mother's Cartier watch were part of her life story. They fixed the movement, did a light ultrasonic wash, and left the soul of the watch intact.
Respectful approach to sentimental items
Overhauling a non-running 1940s chronograph takes time, but the updates were incredible. They sent macro photos of the disassembled movement during the diagnostic phase and walked me through every part that needed attention before starting work. Unbeatable transparency.
Clear communication through a long restoration
I had a 1920s sterling silver powder compact with a broken hinge that two jewelers had already turned down. Timeless took it on, laser-welded the microscopic hinge pin, and adjusted the clasp so it snaps shut perfectly again. You can't even tell where the damage was.
Restored an antique silver heirloom compact
An old battery had leaked inside my vintage Seiko quartz watch and corroded the contacts. Most shops told me to just buy a new watch. Timeless delicate-cleaned the movement board, replaced the damaged coil, and resealed the case. It’s running like a clock again.
Expert care for a delicate quartz movement
As someone who collects vintage military timepieces, finding a workshop that respects original tritium dials and unpolished cases is rare. Timeless understands the collector mindset. They do exceptional, clean benchwork without stripping away historical value.
